Calibra is a pet food brand built on veterinary expertise, trusted nutrition and a shared passion for helping pets live healthier lives; a story that began in the Czech Republic in the 1990s.
Dr. Jaromír Koudela, a progressive veterinarian and manager, succeeded in building Noviko, a veterinary distribution company. This company was the result of enthusiasm and the shared work of seven friends, five of whom were former fellow students at the University of Veterinary and Pharmaceutical Sciences Brno in the Czech Republic.
Dr Koudela then formed Calibra over 20 years ago with the desire to create pet food that addressed a variety of needs and conditions.

Our pet food is developed by vets and nutritionists who understand the wide range of health conditions cats and dogs can experience, and how tailored nutrition can support their individual needs. From digestive sensitivities and diabetes to joint mobility, weight management, renal support and more, our recipes are created with real health needs in mind.
Our team is comprised of vets with in-practice experience, animal health-specific nutritionists and our own laboratory diagnostics team.
Having such extensive veterinary expertise at our core allows us to develop well-balanced and affordable formulas to delight both pets and their owners.
